Job Description:  Conduct research to reconstruct record of past human life and culture from human remains, artifacts, architectural features, and structures recovered through excavation, underwater recovery, or other means of discovery.

Education:  Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctoral

Possible Job Titles:  Archaeologist, Associate Director, Curator, Director of Research Center, Principal Archaeologist, Research Archaeologist

Possible Employers:  private sector, government, museums, academia

Famous Archeologists: Howard Carter (discovered King Tut’s tomb), Zahi Hawass (Egyptologist), Brona Simon (Official Archeologist of MA, responsible for keeping Fenway Park historically accurate)
