I am very lucky to be a part of the Discovery Education (DE) family. In 2014, I was accepted as one of the 50 fellows in the Siemens STEM Insitute at Discovery Education headquarters in Silver Spring, MD. From there, my relationship with DE grew! I presented on STEM integration for the “Survey Says: Celebrating STEM in the Classroom” webinar, presented on economic literacy at the Fall VirtCon, and most recently became a Program Champion for the EconEssentials partner program between DE and the CME Group. Last week, DE brought together all 13 of their Program Champions in Chicago. We relived our college years by staying in the dorms at Loyola University Chicago, then worked at both the DE offices and on campus. We presented our programs to the Principal Summit attendees, shot video testimonials, narrated vignettes for our programs, and brainstormed about how best to highlight our particular programs. The Program Champions are such a great group of educators and I’m proud to have the opportunity to work so closely with them! Here are some highlights from our weekend . . .
