In the past few years, the momentum of Black Friday has been extended to other campaigns. We now have Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday, and Giving Tuesday! If you’re thinking ahead about how you may want to give back, please consider making a small donation to my students’ Entrepreneurship project on DonorsChoose.org for Giving Tuesday. A dollar or two would be amazing because it all adds up. This project focuses on the use of our classroom’s 3D printer in conjunction with our Entrepreneurship class’ business ventures. I’d like to marry the two together and use the 3D printer to generate income that will cover the costs of the project and allow us to donate even more to local charities!
Since we started running our own businesses in Entrepreneurship, we’ve donated over $6,400 in profits to local organizations including the Mansfield Animal Shelter, the Mansfield Food Pantry, the OneFund, and the Corey Shea Memorial Scholarship. In addition, we’ve also made microloans to aspiring entrepreneurs in 12 different countries through Kiva.org, including Costa Rica, Haiti, Kenya, the Philippines, and Rwanda. Your donation to this project will help us “pay it forward” and make even more donations in the future!
