Donorschoose Goal Met!

Over the past few years, Donorschoose.org and many generous volunteers have transformed my classroom. My students participate in various classroom activities such as STEM competitions, iPad guided technologies, and BreakoutEDU challenges. My classroom is well organized and clean. We even have “unplugged” days to play board games that reinforce financial literacy skills. All of these opportunities have been made possible thanks to projects funded through special promotions, corporate sponsorships, and the Caring Classrooms page on Donorschoose.org. I am very fortunate and I remain thankful for these great additions to my classroom. (HERE are the projects that have been funded for me, if you are curious)

I’ve made many donations to other teachers on the Donorschoose.org site, but looked for a special way to “give back” this year. I decided to donate to at least one teacher in every state. Some weeks, my donations were small. Some weeks, my donations were bigger. I even had a few gift cards that were given to me along the way that I used towards my goal. I’m proud to announce that I met my goal this week by fully funding a teacher’s project in Wyoming! It feels good to have helped so many of my fellow teachers.

Here are the projects I helped this year to reach my goal:

If you are looking for a way to help out a local classroom, see if there are any projects in your area that could use a donation on Donorschoose.org. The students (and teacher) will be so appreciative!
